8 hurt in firebomb attacks in Keraniganj

At least eight people were injured while getting down from a bus hurriedly as miscreants hurled a petrol bomb
at the vehicle on Dhaka-Mawa highway here on Tuesday.

Police and witnesses said miscreants tossed the petrol bomb at the Mawa-bound bus of ‘Nagar Paribahan’ coming from Dhaka at Kadamtali on the highway around 9:30pm.

Eight bus passengers sustained injuries as they tried to get down from the bus swiftly.

On information, a fire fighting unit rushed in and doused the blaze.

The injured people took first aid at a local hospital.

In another incident, pickets exploded three crude bombs near an auto-rickshaw stand at Zinjira under Keraniganj Model Police Station around 8:30pm. None was injured in the blast.
