President greets Tigers

President Abdul Hamid on Monday congratulated the National Cricket Team for their victory against England in the ICC Cricket World Cup that saw the Tigers into the quarterfinals of the mega event.

“The President thanked players, manager, coaches and the Cricket Board officials for the success,” President’s press secretary Ihsanul Karim told UNB over phone from London. The President is currently staying in London for treatment.

Abdul Hamid hoped that the Bangladesh Cricket team will continue their winning trend in the coming matches.

The President also wished continued success of the cricket team.

Bangladesh reached the quarterfinals of the Cricket World Cup defeating England by 15 runs in their 5th Pool-A match at Adelaide Oval, Australia on Monday.
