DU Correspondent Dhaka Metropolitan unit of Pahari Chatra Parishad (PCP) on Monday demanded the relocation of military camps from Chittagong to stop the alleged military torture on indigenous people and land grabbing. They made these demands from a rally held at the altar of Raju Sculpture in front of the Teacher-Students Centre (TSC) of the Dhaka University (DU) campus in the afternoon. Speaking at the rally PCP Vice Presidents Supen Chakama said that the indigenous people were not killed and did not face any problem to live there peacefully as full implementation of CHT Accord of 1997 was ensured. "So the full implementation of HCT Accord must be done ensured immediately and military camps would be moved from Chittagong, otherwise Jummun people will conduct tougher movement," he added.
