Sydney, Mar 18: Five highlights of Wednesday's World Cup quarter-final between South Africa and Sri Lanka at the Sydney Cricket Ground:
Eyes have it
-Dale Steyn celebrated his dismissal of Tillakaratne Dilshan with a fixed, fierce, eye and vein bulging scream. Moments later, he complained of severe neck pain, possibly due to his flamboyant celebration.
Sangakkara in slow lane
- Kumar Sangakkara had hit four successive centuries at the World Cup but he hit a brick wall against South Africa where it took 16 balls for him to score his first run.
Jawaywardene jinxed
-Imran Tahir finished with four wickets, including Mahela Jayawardene who he has now dismissed four times in four meetings allowing just 12 runs.
JP is OK
- JP Duminy became the first South African to claim a World Cup hat-trick when he dismissed Angelo Mathews with the last ball of the 33rd over and Nuwan Kulasekara and debutant Tharindu Kaushal when he came back for his next over.
De Kock shines at last
- After a miserable tournament, South African opener Quinton de Kock finally came good with a stylish undefeated innings of 78 to see his team home in comfort.     AFP
