Google’s doodle has intensified the vibe of cricket fans in Bangladesh and India.

The search giant’s home page featured batsmen dipped in the beloved colours of India and Bangladesh’s flags before the match kicked off at Melbourne on Thursday morning.

The caption reads - It's India v Bangladesh in the Quarter-Finals.

As emotions run high over the match between the Tigers and the defending champions, the doodle captured the excitement surrounding the game.

The match is unique because the two sides began the battle singing their anthems -both written by one - Rabindranath Tagore.

That only happens when the two South Asian neighbours face each other in the field.

Earlier, the search engine created an image to celebrate India taking on neighbour Pakistan in the ongoing World Cup.
