5 killed in Mymensingh road accident

Mymensingh: Five people were killed and another one was injured as a truck rammed into a three wheeler in Muktagacha upazila on Saturday morning. 

The victims were identified as--Alal Hossain, 40, Akbar Ali, 40, Jalal Uddin, 40, Samir Talukder, 35, and Shafiqul Islam, 35. All the deceased were the passengers of auto-rickshaw.

Witnesses said, a Jamalpur-bound goods-laden truck rammed into a CNG-run auto-rickshaw on the Mymensingh-Tangail highway around 6:30am, leaving three dead on the spot and three others injured.

Two others injured died on way to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.

Muktagacha Thana officer in-charge confirmed the accident. 

Police seized the truck but its driver managed to flee the scene
