
GAZIPUR, Apr 17: Graduation Day for the students of Bachelor of Science (Agriculture) programme 7th batch and Bachelor of Science (Fisheries) programme 3rd batch of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University (BSMRAU) was held on Thursday on the university campus.
Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof. Dr. Md. Mahbubar Rahman congratulated the new graduates and formally announced the result of BS (Agriculture) and BS (Fisheries). The VC also distributed a memento of the university and provisional certificate among each graduate.
Prof. Dr. Ismail Hossain Mian, treasurer of BSMRAU also delivered his speech, while Prof. Dr. Qazi Abdul Khaleq, registrar of the university, also delivered the welcome address.
Graduates Morium Khanom BS (Agriculture) and Himel Thapa (Fish) achieved the highest GPA.
A total of 81 students of BS (Agriculture) and 29 students of BS (Fisheries) were conferred with their degree at the graduation ceremony.
Earlier, students and teachers of the university took part in a colourful rally.
