The European Central Bank announced that it is keeping its main interest rate at a record low of 0.05 per cent. At the press conference after the news was released, Mario Draghi, the bank's president, attempted to explain why the bank's quantitative-easing programme is going well so far, but was interrupted by a female protester who showered him with confetti while screaming, "End ECB dictatorship".
