They are: BCL president Shubhra Joti Tikader and general secretary Abu Saeed Kanak.
Two others were also expelled in separate terms for their alleged involvement in the incident.
Confirming the matter, Chhatra League general secretary Saeed Kanak said the university authority have sent letters to them on Monday night in this regard.
‘This is a motivated decision, we will file appeal petition against it and give a 7-day ultimatum to administration to withdraw the expel order’ Saeed Kanak said.
Students will wage a tougher movement if the expel order is not withdrawn, he added.
Campus sources claimed that a group of BCL men went to the office of Jahangir Alam, associate professor of civil engineering department, around 1:00pm on April 12 and asked him to explain his remarks on a Facebook page on the execution of Kamaruzzaman.
The teacher reportedly had criticised the execution.
The alleged BCL men then pulled him by his attire and forced him to go to the office of the vice-chancellor with them. There, they demanded before the VC that the teacher be expelled.
At the same day, Buet BCL in a press release accused the teacher of using “expletives” in the Facebook post and beating up a student when they went to his office.
