World Accreditation Day-2015 will be observed in the country today (Tuesday) to increase awareness about accreditation with focus on the theme 'Accreditation: Supporting the Delivery of Health and Social Care'.
Bangladesh Accreditation Board (BAB) and Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) will jointly organize a seminar at the DCCI auditorium on the day marking this occasion.
Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu is expected to be present as the Chief Guest while Industries Secretary Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan and DCCI senior Vice-President Humayun Rashid will speak at the seminar as Special Guest.
Prof Dr Pran Gopal Datta, former Vice-Chancellor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, will present the theme paper. Technical persons, businessmen, regulators, academicians, development partners and experts from different laboratories are expected to be present there. BAB has published a souvenir, colourful posters and will send the message to the people through mobile SMS.
