KHULNA, Jun 8: Awami League leaders at a function here on Monday said that Bangladesh would become a middle-income country by 2021 and subsequently a developed country. They came up with the remark while speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the biennial council of Khulna city unit of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) at Shaheed Hadis Park in the city. Organising Secretary of AL BM Mozammel Haque addressed the function as Chief Guest with city unit BCL President Dev Dulal Barai in the chair. Central BCL President Bodiuzzaman Sohag inaugurated the council by hoisting party flag and releasing balloons and pigeons while BCL General Secretary Siddiqi Nazmul Alam attended the function as key speaker.
