The charge hearing against BNP Standing Committee Member and former Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Khandakar Mosharraf Hossain in a money laundering case has been deferred to July 23. Md Ataur Rahman, the judge of the Special Court No-1, fixed the new date for hearing as defence lawyer Advocate Sanaullah Miah sought time. At the time of hearing, Dr Khandakar Mosharraf was produced before court from the jail. The defence lawyer submitted a petition stating that a writ petition was pending with High Court challenging the trial court's order on cognizance into the charge sheet in the case. ACC filed the case against him stating that he siphoned off Tk 9,53,95,380 while he was in power from 2001 to 2006.
