Key share price indices at the country's premier bourse, Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) experienced marginal loss while Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) gained 30 points on Monday.
The DSE benchmark index, DSEX dropped 7.48 points or 0.17 per cent to close at 4503.99 on the day. Of the 311 issues traded, 112 gained, 144 declined and 55 remained unchanged.
Shares worth Tk 380.51 crore changed hands at the DSE on Monday as against Tk 308.29 crore on Sunday.
The day's top 10 losers at the DSE were Modern Dyeing & Screen Printing, Jute Spinners, Anwar Galvanizing, Miracle Industry, Bank Asia, Rangpur Dairy & Food Products, National Tubes, Bangladesh Steel Re-Rolling Mills, Golden Harvest Agro Industries, and Desh Garments.
Top five gainers at the DSE were Hakkani Pulp & Paper, First Bangladesh Fixed Income Fund, The Dacca Dyeing & Manufacturing, ICB AMCL 1st NRB Mutual Fund, and Shurwid Industries.
The top five turnover leaders at the DSE were Titas Gas, United Air, BEXIMCO Pharma, BEXIMCO, and Khulna Power Company.
The CSE key index, CASPI gained 30.38 points to reach 13915.36 at close on Monday. Of the 234 issues traded, 90 advanced, 116 suffered loss and 28 remained unchanged. The value of the traded issues at the CSE was Tk 26.72 crore on the day. ?UNB
