The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) has relieved an assistant superintend of police (ASP) of charges of graft charges. The Commission gave clean chit to senior ASP Lutfor Rahman, who currently attached with Detectives Training School of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) at Razarbagh, through an official notice issued by ACC secretary Maksudul Hasan Khan recently. Earlier, the ACC received a graft allegation in 2003 that Lutfor Rahman brought land in Mymensingh and accumulated a huge amount of wealth through swindling, corruption and misusing his power when he was an inspector and the officer-in-charge of Trishal Police Station of Mymensingh. Later on, taking the allegation into the account the national anti-graft body launched a probe against him, according to ACC sources. After conducting an inquiry against the ASP, they said, the ACC did not find his involvement in any graft or irregularity. ?UNB
