Cop held for 'selling Yaba' in Cox's Bazar

Cox's Bazar, July 28: Police arrested a police constable allegedly for selling Yaba tablets and seized 23,500 pieces of the tablet from his possession in the district Ansar Office area in Sadar upazila on Monday noon.
The arrestee was identified as police constable Saddam Hossain, hailing from Noakhali district.
Sub-inspector of Cox's Bazar Sadar Police Station Mamun Mainuddin said acting on secret information that constable Saddam was going to sell Yaba tablets, a team of police conducted a raid in the area around 12.00pm and arrested Saddam along with 23,500 pieces of Yaba tablet. Mamun Mainuddin filed a case with Sadar Police Station under the Narcotics Control Act on the day.
Later, police produced him before the court which sent him to jail.    ?UNB
