Aug 4: More than 26 houses of Digha Naodapara village in Bagha Upazila
of Rajshahi have got electricity connections after 44 long years on
Tuesday. Kaser Ali, an 80-year-old man, broke down in tears as a mark
of his joy as soon as his house was illuminated with electric bulbs. He
was crying in sheer joy as his long wait was over at long last. Bausa
Union Awami League General Secretary Shahjahan Ali inaugurated the
electricity connection to Digha Naodapara on Monday while teacher Shamim
Uddin, Asadualla Sarkar Badsah and Amin Uddin were present in the
inaugural ceremony.
