
Dr. Chanchal Khan is an established Rabindra Sangeet singer and a Tagore exponent of Bangladesh. He has to his credit six albums, two of which were published in Kolkata, with the endorsement of Viswa Bharati Music Board. He has directed several plays of Tagore, including 'Shyama', 'Chitrangoda' and 'Valmiki Pratibha'. In 2011, he had released a documentary on 'Rabindranath in Bangladesh', a historical visual analysis of Rabindranath's works during his stay in East Bengal between 1890 and 1937.
Dr. Khan worked in the 150th Birth Anniversary Celebration Committee of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, Government of Bangladesh. He directed a documentary "Bangladeshey Rabindranath", which was screened in India and Bangladesh during the joint celebrations in the two countries. He has released his second documentary titled "Timeless Gitanjali" sponsored by the India-Bangladesh Foundation, High Commission of India in 2014 which was screened in India, Australia, USA and UK. He was accorded reception by the Chief Minister of Tripura for his worked and the documentary was screened in several places in India, Australia, UK, USA and Bangladesh as an academic and learning object.
Dr. Khan is a founder member of Bangladesh Rabindra Sangeet Sammilan Parishad and an advisor of Jatiyo Rabindra Sangeet Shilpi Sangstha. He regularly performs in different TV channels at home and abroad. He is the founder of SHUROLOK, a cultural organisation in Dhaka. He has given performances in India, Nepal, Australia, USA and UK.
