WASHINGTON, Aug 28 : President Obama has invited Saudi Arabian King Salman to the White House next week, as the White House continues to try to build support for an Iran nuclear deal at home and abroad. Saudi officials have been skeptical but reserved about the deal, fearing that entreaties to its regional rival will upset the delicate balance of power in the Middle East. Obama has sought to allay those fears, issuing what he called an "ironclad commitment" to the security of Saudi Arabia and its neighbors. White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said in a statement that security and counter-terrorism efforts were on the agenda, as well as "regional topics including the conflicts in Yemen and Syria, and steps to counter Iran's destabilizing activities." ?USA TODAY
