Feni take on Narayanganj in final today

Feni District Under-15 Football Team will engage with Narayanganj District Under-15 Football Team in the final melee of the Sailor-BFF National Under-15 Football Championship today (Wednesday) at 5:00 pm at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka.
BTV World will telecast the match live.
Biren Sikder, the State Minister for Youth and Sports as the chief guest will distribute the prizes among the winners of the event. Also the BFF boss Kazi M Salahuddin will be present in the programme.
In the pre-match briefing at the BFF House on Tuesday, captains and coaches of the both sides said that they would win the match next day. The champions will be awarded Taka two lakh while the runners-up will get Taka one lakh as prize money. BFF vice president and also the tournament committee chairman Badal Roy spoke in there.
A total of 61 district teams participated in the zonal event. Sylhet became champions in Moulvibazar venue, Natore champions in Rajshahi venue, Barisal in Gopalganj venue, Narayanganj in Chuadanga venue, Jessore in Jessore venue, Thakurgaon in Thakurgaon venue, Feni in Chittagong venue, Dhaka in Tangail venue.
The eight zonal champion teams took part in the final round of the event that began from August 23 at the two Dhaka venues, Bangabandhu National Stadium and Abahani Ground in Dhanmondi respectively.
Being divided in to two groups, the eight teams played three matches each. In the group matches, Dhaka beat Jessore by 2-1, Thakurgaon by 8-1 and drew goalless with Narayanganj. Narayanganj defeated Thakurgaon by 5-1, Jessore by 5-0. Sylhet beat Natore by 2-1, Barisal by 4-1 and were defeated to Feni by 3-0 goals. Barisal were defeated to Feni by 3-1, defeated to Natore by 2-1 and defeated to Sylhet by 4-1 goals.
From the Group-A, Narayanganj and Dhaka moved to the semi-finals as the group champion and runners-up while Feni and Sylhet moved to the semis as the Group-B champion and runners-up.
In the semi-final matches, Narayanganj confirmed their final berth on Sunday eliminating Sylhet by 5-4 goals while Feni moved to the final as they defeated Dhaka by the same margin in the second semis on Monday.
