Bangladesh Physically Challenged Cricket Team will take on England Physically Challenged Cricket Team in the opener of the ICRC International T20 Cricket Tournament at Sher-e-Bangla National cricket Stadium today.
England have been playing the disable cricket for 15 years while Bangladesh have just started it. However both the team want to win in the opening match.
England lefty pacer Josh Mead said, "We came here to win. It will be better if we can win. Recently our national team won the Ashes. So now we have to win something."
On the other hand Bangladesh vice captain Rifat Hossain Bappi also said they will take on England with a goal to win.
Rifat said, "We will confront England to win. Hope, if we can play our best we can win against England."
Bangladesh head coach Rashed Iqbal also repeated the words of Bappi saying, "We want to play our best and execute our ability on the field. We are not thinking about the strength and weak point of our opponent.  England team has been playing the Disability Cricket for 15 years and we have just started it. However, we will play our best."
According to the Bangladesh coach they have practiced for 21 days together and worked to improve skill and mental strength.
Bangladesh also made some plans observing the videos of England's players.
Regarding this Rashed said, "We watched some videos of England players. We drew some plan. Hope we can execute them on the field."
However, In the ICC World Cup 2015 Bangladesh National Team defeated England National team. And Josh Mead does not want to take the match to take revenge of that.
He said, "Bangladesh defeat England in the World Cup. We knew that. But we do not come here to take any revenge. Our job is to focus on our game. We will do that."
Recently England national team won the Ashes against Australia. So following the national team the physically challenged team also want to win something for the country.
In England the physically challenged team are popular enough and Mead think if they can win the tournament it will be increased.
He said, "We are popular in our country. If we can play well our popularity will be increased. Our families will also support us more."
Mead also informed that they have all the support from the board and they have different coach, doctors.
Mead further said, "I think it will be a competitive tournament. All will try to give their best. We will also try to play as better as possible."
