Digital services have been introduced at the apex court as well as many lower ones across the country as part of bringing the entire judiciary under digitization process to make it time-befitting, reduce harassment of justice seekers and dispose of the cases in a logical timeframe.
'Syed Aminul Islam, Registrar General of the Supreme Court said, "All measures have been taken to bring the entire judiciary under digitization".
The Awami League (AL) led grand alliance government took up the project in 2009 and the digitization process has pace under the dynamic leadership of incumbent Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha.
As part of the digitization process, 150 judges have been given smart tabs while mobile apps has been introduced for Dhaka courts to facilitate the justice seekers to see the regular cause list over their cell phones. A complete website with server has already been set up at the Supreme Court (SC). Digital services have also been introduced in Chittagong court.
New initiative has also been taken to stop fraudulence in getting bail with the setting up of a sub domain system in the Supreme Court (AC) website.     ?BSS
