E-monitoring system introduced

The government on Sunday introduced online monitoring system for public services in line with demarcation of parliamentary constituencies to achieve sustainable development goals (SDGs) and good governance.
Access to Information (A2i) programme under the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) organized the event at the Planning Commission in the capital's Agargaon to announce the introduction of the internet-based services marking the Social Good Summit-2015, a global campaign by UNDP aimed at social empowerment. Besides, three citizens were awarded for providing solution to make public services easier.
State Minister for Planning and Finance MA Mannan and State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak inaugurated the services with UNDP Country Director Polin Tamasi also present on the occasion.
"Bangladesh is the first country in the world where online system has been introduced to monitor public services to achieve SDGs," said A2i Communication Specialist Tanzina Sharmin.
