Unidentified miscreants have shot and killed a foreigner at Gulshan diplomatic zone in the capital.
The victim was identified as Tavella Cesare (50), an Italian national and project manager of an international organization.
Sirajul Islam, officer-in-charge of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Gulshan Thana, confirmed the matter.
He said the foreigner was shot by unknown assailants on Monday evening on Road no 90 in Gulshan-2.
“Locals brought him to city’s United Hospital where doctor declared him dead,” he added.
Mizanur Rahman, sub-inspector of Gulshan Thana, said the victim was shot at his left arm and belly.
The reason behind the killing is still unclear.
Police said noone has been arrested in this connection as yet.
