Australia postponed the tour of Bangladesh on Thursday concerning over security issue. Like all, the former players are also disappointed hearing the news. They demand the solution of the situation as soon as possible. Talking to The Daily Observer, four former players, Mohammad Rafique, Hasibul Hossain Shanto, Khaled Mashud Pilot and Mehrab Hossain Opi, expressed their disappointment and views over the decision of Cricket Australia on Saturday. Rafique said, "This is a matter of two boards. I think BCB will take their steps on this regard. I think BCB should take firm steps on this issue and talk to the ICC about it. If ICC asks then Australia is bound to answer why they exactly postpone the tour. Otherwise the others can also get an opportunity to do this against Bangladesh in future. We should not allow that to happen in future." Like Rafique, Shanto also wants the necessary steps from BCB to solve the situation. He said, "It will cause major damage in future if we cannot solve it. All will get an issue to not tour to Bangladesh like Pakistan. But you cannot compare Bangladesh with Pakistan. The board (BCB) should take immediate step to solve it." Mehrab Hossain Opi also said similar like his mates. He said, "I am disappointed. I think the tour will be held later. BCB will take steps to roll in on the ground. Cricket Australia also mentioned it." There decision (CA) of postponing tour on security issue raised doubt in the mind of local fans that there might be some involvement of international cricket and the future tournaments in Bangladesh will be hampered. The former players also think like that. Khaled Masud Pilot said, "I think, that happened not for the political situation here. It might happen for international politics. This is my personal opinion. I think the problem can be solved through discussion between both the government of Bangladesh and Australia." Not only Pilot but Shanto also thinks there may be some involvement of international politics. Shanto said, "I think the security situation of Bangladesh is not responsible for postponing Australian tour. The situation of Bangladesh now better that any time. The international politics may involve there to down Bangladesh." Shanto also said about the way of solving this problem. He said "I think if any big team will tour in this time then the problem will be solved automatically and we need to do this for the better future of our cricket." Some are thinking that if the problem cannot be solved now. Bangladesh may become like Pakistan for cricket. But Rafique think it will not happen. He said, "No, I do not think so. The condition of Pakistan is totally different. There is no chance to compare Bangladesh with Pakistan. All know about our love and dedication to cricket. Cricket is our pride. We represent us in the world through cricket." However, all of them agreed that the postponing of the tour is a loss for Bangladesh Test cricket. As Bangladesh players get fewer opportunities to play Test so they are deprived of learning many things playing against team Like Australia.
