Bangladesh National Women Cricket Team will take on Pakistan in the first ODI of the two-match ODI series today (Sunday) at Southend Club Cricket Stadium, Karachi in Pakistan at 10:00 am BST.
Earlier, Bangladesh lost the T20I series against Pakistan losing both the T20I. So the ODI series will be an opportunity to take revenge of the T20I series and prove their worth.
Slama Khatun led Tigress will confront the Pakistan Women team with a goal to taste the victory. But there miserable performance in the T20 series may be a major concern for the tourist. And they must have to overcome it as Pakistan are on top now winning the T20 series easily.
The statistics also favoured Pakistan side. After getting the ODI status in 2011, Bangladesh Women played four ODIs against Pakistan Women and lost all.
It will be also an opportunity for the Tigress to create history winning the first ever match against the host.
The bowling of the Bangladesh team are good enough but the batters failed to show better performance in the T20Is.
On the other hand, Pakistan are quite balanced team in batting and bowling. Batter Bismah Maroof, who led Pakistan to win the T20 series, is in superb form. And Bangladesh have to send her to the dressing room as soon as possible to create pressure over the host.
The second and final match of the series will be held on October 6, 2015 (Tuesday) at Southend Club, Karachi.
