Joint efforts stressed to curb crime

BARISAL Oct 4: Newly-appointed Commissioner of Barisal Metropolitan Police (BMP) Lutfar Rahman Mondal at a meeting has called for journalists to work unitedly with the law-enforcers to make Barisal a crime-free city.
The BMP Commissioner came up with the call while addressing a views-exchange meeting with the Barisal Press Club (BPC) members in the city last night. He said if the media, police forces and general people work unitedly to curb crimes, the city and its adjoining areas will be crime-free zone at the soonest.
Club President Kazi Nasiruddin Babul presided over the meeting while General Secretary and senior members of the press club were present on the occasion.
