BARISAL, Oct 5: Senior lawyer and former President of Barisal District Bar Association Abdul Mannan Howlader breathed his last at Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital (SBMCH) on Monday.
He was suffering from old age complications. Also a former Public Prosecutor (PP) of Barisal District, Abdul Mannan left behind two sons and one daughter, host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn for his death. His first namaj-e-janaja was held at Barisal District Judge Court premises at 11:30am and the second janaja at his native home in Charbaria village at 2:00pm. Later, Abdul Mannan was laid to eternal rest at Barisal Muslim Graveyard at 5:00pm.
District Awami League President and former Chief Whip Abul Hasnat Abdullah, MP, Secretary Talukder M Yunus, MP, District BNP President Ebaydul Haque, City BNP President and former Barisal City Mayor Mazibur Rahman Sarwar expressed shock.
