Schoolgirl’s wrist blown off in Chuadanga bomb blast

Chuadanga: A schoolgirl got one of her wrists blown off in an explosion allegedly while outlaws were making bombs at a house of Marufdah village in Jibannagar upazila on Tuesday.

The victim was identified as Bristi Khatun, a Class-VIII student of Raipur High School and daughter of Aslam alias Tengra, an alleged outlawed party member, of the village.

Police and locals said the explosion took place at the house of Tengra around 12:30pm while some outlaws were making bombs there. The blast blew a hand of Bristi off at its wrist.

As the incident came to light, the family along with the victim went into hiding.

Sub-inspector of Jibannagar Police Station Hasem Ali said they visited the spot and recovered evidence of explosion but no one of the family members was found in the house.
