SATKHIRA, Oct 9: At least 15 idols were destroyed by some miscreants in a temple at Karmakarpara in Ashashuni upazila of the district early Wednesday.
Amit Som Ghosh, president of Karmakarpara Sarbajanin Durga Puja Temple, said the miscreants stormed the temple in the area in the dead of night and damaged 15 idols of different Hindu goddesses.
The incident came to light on Wednesday morning when devotees went to the temple.
Ajmal Huda, officer-in-charge of Ashashuni Police Station, said he visited the temple.
