Housewife slaughtered in Noakhali; One held

Noakhali : A housewife was slaughtered allegedly by her brother in-law at village Darafpur in Begumganj upazila on Monday.

The dead was identified as Sheuli Akhter Lily, 28, wife of an auto-rickshaw driver Abbasuddin.

Quoting neighbours, police said Hasan went out of his house in the morning with his three-wheeler.

Hearing screams from Abbas’s house at about 11:30am, neighbours rushed in and saw Abbas's brother Mohammad Hasan, 22, slaughtered Lily.

They caught Hasan red handed and informed police.

Later, police recovered the body and arrested Hasan.
