Bangladesh Football Federation source confirmed on Tuesday that the world's football governing body FIFA rejected the appeal of Football Federation Australia for an alternative venue for their away match against Bangladesh in Dhaka. After the rejection of the appeal, now the Socceroos will come in Dhaka on November 14 before the match scheduled to be played on November 17 at the Bangabandhu National Stadium. Following the uncertainty of the Australia's cricket team tour of Bangladesh that time, Australia football authority also argued about the security and applied to FIFA for alternation of the venue. However, the Socceroos had already played a home match against Bangladesh on September 3 and won it by 5-0 margin. Before the home match against Australia, Bangladesh will face Tajikistan on November 12 in an away match. Till now, Jordan National Football Team is leading the point table of Group-B of Asian region with 13 points from five matches while Australia are on the second place with nine points from four matches.
