A youth was hacked to death and another injured by miscreants at East Rampura in the capital.

The deceased is identified as Md Hafiz alias Hafez, 25. The injured is identified as Palash.

The incident took  place at 8pm on Wednesday.

Palash, who is receiving treatment at DMCH, told banglanews24.com that a group of 20 to 25 persons led by Shamim and Munna swooped on them, stabbing Hafez dead.

Officer-in-Charge of Ghilgaon thana Kazi Mainul Islam said that it was primary suspected that the incident took place centering supremacy over Taltala area at Khilgaon in the capital.
