Mamunul Islam Mamun, skipper of the Bangladesh National Football Team will visit different schools and colleges in Dhaka on Sunday and Monday to encourage the students to come at the stadium and witness the World Cup qualifying match between Bangladesh and Australia.
The very qualifying match is scheduled to be played on November 17 at 5:30 pm at the Bangabandhu National Stadium.
As a part of Bangladesh Football Federation's initiative to attract the young fans in the gallery, Mamunul will pay a visit to Scholastica School on their campus in Mirpur section 13 today (Sunday) at 11:00 am.
The team management and coaching staffs of the national team will accompany the captain during his visit to different academies.
An official report on FFA's website confirmed on Friday that the Socceroos were going to Singapore on Saturday and after practicing in there the boys will arrive in Dhaka on Monday evening. Playing the match in the afternoon, they will leave Bangladesh at the night on Tuesday.
Citing the security problem in Bangladesh, Football Federation Australia requested FIFA for a neutral venue month ago. Nevertheless, FIFA rejected the request and Australia sent a security inspection team in Dhaka to observe the security measurement in here. In the meantime, FIFA's officials also visited the venues and talked to the Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan at the Ministry and BFF officials.
