The logo unveiling and contract signing ceremony of the Minister Freeze Bangladesh Championship League 2014-15 were held on Thursday in the Bangladesh Football Federation conference-room.
Abdus Salam Murshedy, Senior vice-president of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) also chairman of the Professional Football League committee introduced the new sponsor Minister Freeze for the league.
Later he unveiled the league logo along with the other guests.
MA Razzak Khan, Chairman and Managing Director of Minister Hi-Tech Park and Abdus Salam Murshedy signed the deal on title sponsorship on behalf of their respective organisations.
BFF general secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag, Shamsuddin Chowdhury of Premier Bank, Syed Obaidul Karim of Pragati Insurance and Riad Ferdous of Eastern Bank were present in the ceremony at the BFF House.
The fourth edition of the second tier of the Professional Football League is scheduled to begin from November 26, Thursday. The matches will be played at two venues, Bangabandhu National Stadium and Bir Shrestha Sepoy Mohammad Mustafa Kamal Stadium in Kamalapur, Dhaka.
Eight teams including Uttar Baridhara Club, Agrani Bank SC, Arambagh KS, Victoria SC, Wari Club, Fakirerpool Young Men's Club, T&T Club of Motijheel and Bangladesh Police AC will take part in the event.
Among the participants, Uttar Baridhara Club was relegated to the Bangladesh Championship League (BCL) from the Bangladesh Premier League 2013-14.
However, the top two teams of the BCL will be promoted to the Bangladesh Premier League 2015-16.
Every participating team will receive Tk five lakh as participation money.
The champion team will be awarded Tk five lakh and the runners-up will get Tk three lakh.
BFF Senior vice-president esteemed the entire budget of the tournament Tk 70 lakh.
Apart from the title sponsor Minister Freeze, Premier Bank was named the presenting sponsor while Pragati Insurance, Eastern Bank, Novo Air and Treasure Securities became the co-sponsors of the BCL.
