Absconding convict surrenders to court

SYLHET, Nov 22: A Sylhet court on Sunday sent one of the two absconding convicts to jail in sensational Rajon murder case.
Magistrate of Metropolitan Session Court-1 Akbar Hossain Mridha gave the order scrapping the bail petition of Shamim Ahmed, who was sentenced to seven years in prison in the murder case, surrendered before the court seeking bail.
Shamim is son of late Abdul Malek of Kumargown Bus Stand area and also a brother of prime suspect Kamrul Islam, who was given the death penalty in the case.
