
The announcement came at a function at the NUB City Camus at Karwan Bazar in the capital on Monday.
University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman Prof MA Manna was present as the chief guest in the inaugural session, while Prime Minister's Economic Affairs Adviser Dr Mashiur Rahman was present as the chief guest at the concluding ceremony.
Prof Dr M Kaikobad, a Computer Scientist, Mustafa Jabbar, an expert in Computers and Dr Abu Yousuf Md Abdullah, Chairman, NUB Trust, were also present as special guests.
Prof Manna said the UGC was always playing an active role to ensure that the universities continue to provide high quality education and in this regard, the digitalisation of NUB was worthy of praise.
Dr Mashiur Rahman said the step taken by NUB in order to face the challenge of the 21st Century to establish a technologically advanced and highly educated nation would never be forgotten.
Dr Abdullah stated, "In the era of globalisation, the digitalisation of education is a demand of the time and to continue the trend, NUB hopes for the cooperation of the Government of Bangladesh and all concerned at different levels of society."
The programme was chaired by Prof. Dr. AWM Abdul Haque, Acting Vice Chancellor, NUB.
Also present at the seminar were Dr. Anwarul Karim, Pro VC, NUB, Mr. Anwar Hussain, Treasurer, NUB, Lt. Col. (Retd.) Aqtedar Ahmed Siddiqui, Registrar In Charge, Deans of the various programmes, heads of the various departments, Teachers and Officials and students.
