Police detained six Islami Chhatra Shibir leaders alongwith 11 cocktails in city's Arambagh area on Friday afternoon on charge of carrying out subversive act.

Acting on secret information, a team of police raided a mess on Friday afternoon and held the six student politicos alongwith 11 cocktails, said Motijheel Police Station SI  Mofizur Rahman confirmed media on Saturday.

They were shown arrested in a case later.

The arrested Shibir leaders are identified as--Motijheel thana unit Shibir president Abdur Rahman, general secretary Afzal Hossain Himel, Paltan thana unit president Russel Amin, ward- 9 president Abdur Rahman, ward - 8 president Alamgir Hossain and general secretary Abdul Quayyum.
