CHITTAGONG, Nov 27: A young boy was killed and at least 50 shanties were gutted in a devastating fire which broke out at a slum in the city's Agrabad-Mogpukurpar area on Friday night.
The deceased could not be identified immediately.
Deputy assistant director of Chittagong fire service Abdul Malek said the fire originated at a shanty following the explosion of a gas cylinder around 9:45 pm and soon it engulfed the adjoining ones. On information, 12 fire-fighting units rushed in and doused the blaze.    ?UNB
