BU Entry Tests
Six proxy examinees held

BARISAL, Nov 28: Police here on Saturday nabbed seven proxy examinees on Saturday, the last day of Barisal University (BU) entry tests of 'Ka' and 'Gha' units.
BU Proctor Prof Shafiul Alam confirmed the matter to the Daily Observer.
The detainees were identified as Kabir Hossain, Rahatul Islam, Lal Binte Zahir, Siamuzzaman , Tanvir Hossain Akon, Farzana Aktar and Shamima Aktar.
Later police released Tanvir, Farzana and Sahamima after taking bond signatures from them.
Ansaruddin, Assistant Commissioner of Barisal Metropolitan Police (BMP), confirmed the matter adding that the rest four were not released.
More than 70 per cent of registered 27,563 applicants attended in the admission tests, against 1,300 seats seat in 18 subjects under four units of six faculties at BU for 2015-16 session.
Prof Dr Muhsin, Acting Registrar of BU, said results of the tests would be published within Monday on the websites and notice boards of the university.
