People gather by the caskets of Indian police officers killed in a suspected Maoist attack in the Palamau district of the Indian state of Jharkhand some 100 kms south of Aurangabad on January 28 after a troop transport vehicle was blown-up by a landmine a day earlier. Suspected Maoist rebels attacked a police convoy in a remote part of eastern India, killing five officers and two civilians. The ambush is the latest in a simmering conflict that pits the insurgents against security forces in remote areas of India.    Photo : AFP
