Drug addiction

Sir,
Drug addiction has become a serious menace in our country. Nowadays, drug addicts are found everywhere, including the streets, parks, hospitals and even educational institutions. The number of drug addicts is increasing day by day. Most of them get addicted when they are at their teen age. At this time, they enter into the darkness unknowingly being misguided by bad company. When they can realise the effect of drug addiction, it's too late.
No chemical on earth can stop the change that occurs in the body of a drug addict. Most of them want to shirk off the habit, but they cannot. If an addict is deprived of drugs, he shakes and shivers and sweats. He becomes desperate and cools down only after he has taken his drugs. When the drug addicts do not get enough money to buy it, they become ferocious. They even do not hesitate to misbehave with their parents. They sometimes become terrorists. So, society becomes corrupted.
I therefore, draw the attention of the authorities concerned to take effective steps so that the nation may get rid of this problem as early as possible.
