English batter Jack Burnham hit his third ton of the tournament as England demolished Namibia by huge 203 runs on Wednesday at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah. With the win England will face Pakistan in Fatullah on Friday for the the fifth place play-off of the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup 2016. England lost to Sri Lanka in the quarter-finals and dropped to the play-off round. The English youths piled up 286 for nine wickets after they were sent to bat first. The match was reduced to 48 overs a side due to foggy weather in Fatullah. Burnham hit 109, his third century in the tournament, to become the leading run-getter in this edition with 418 runs while Tom Moores made 85 runs to pile up the huge total. Though Namibia stunted all outplaying defending champion South Africa at the group stage, they dropped to play-off round losing to India in the quarter-finals. Chasing the target, Namibia were all out for only 83 runs in just 25.2 overs. Mason Crane grabbed three wickets for as many runs in 3.2 overs and Dan Lawrence took two for seven in two overs. In the day's other play-off round match, Ireland thumped Scotland by 95 runs in the 13th/14th position play-off at the Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium in Cox's Baza. William McClintock top-scored with 69 and Lorcan Tucker made 59 as Ireland scored 235 for seven after being asked to take first strike.
