A Pitha Utsab (country cake festival) and a cultural ceremony were held at the TSC premises of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University (SAU) in the capital on Thursday and Friday respectively.
Prof. Md. Shadat Ulla, Vice Chancellor of SAU unveiled the curtain of the program as the chief guest while Prof. Dr. Md. Shahidur Rashid Bhuiyan, Pro-vice-chancellor, Prof. Dr. Md. Sekender Ali, Director of Student Affairs, Dr. Md. Samiul ALam Liton, Managing Director of Krrishibid Bangladesh Ltd were present as the special guests, among others.
Prof. Dr. Md. Kamal Uddin Ahmed, Dean of agriculture faculty presided over the inauguration ceremony. Prof Ulla in his address appreciated the organizers and visited different stalls along with the guests.
Nine cultural & social student organizations-- SAU Debating Society, SAU Language Club, SAU Rovers Scout, SAU Bandhusova, SAU Sahhitto Sangshod, Sopnoshiri, Badhon, Saptak, and SAU Photographic Society-- participated in the programme organized with the support of Krrishibid Bangladesh Ltd. A colourful cultural ceremony was staged with the participation of the members of different student organizations at the last day of the programme.
