A student of Bangladesh University of Engineering And Technology (BUET) was crushed under the wheels of a train in city's Moghbazar area on Wednesday morning.

Deceased--Tanvir, a third year student of BUET civil engineering.

The victim's father Ali Gahar said, a train hit Tanvir around 10:30am at Moghbazar Wareless Rail Gate, leaving him critically injured.

At first Tanvir was rushed to a local hospital. Later he was shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where on-duty doctors declared him dead.

Dhaka Railway Thana OC Abdul Majid confirmed the accident news.
