Four killed in road accidents

At least four persons were killed and two injured in separate road accidents in three districts - Dinajpur, Satkhira and Munshiganj during the last two days.
DINAJPUR: Two motorcyclists were killed and two others injured in separate road accidents at Sadar and Nobabganj upazilas here on Sunday and Monday.
A motorcyclist Rocky, 32, son of Abdur Rahman of Kochua village in the upazila was killed on the spot and his co-riders Rony, 30, and Selim, 32, were seriously injured as a motorcycle carrying the victims was dashed by a picnic party bus from Bogra at Poliramdebpur area under Nobabganj upazila here on Monday at 9am.
The injured were admitted to Nobabganj Upazila Health Complex.
On the other hand, while overtaking another motorcycle, a motorcyclist Aswini Kanta Roy, 24, son of Jatindra Roy of Ranirbandar village under Sadar upazila, was killed on the spot at Bengkali area of the upazila on Sunday night. Two unnatural death (UD) cases were filed with respective police stations.
SATKHIRA: A man was crushed under a truck on the Khulna-Satkhira highway at Tirishmile area under Sadar upazila here on Monday noon.
He was identified as Moshel Uddin, 55, son of late Yeamuddin of Motbari village under Tala upazila of the district.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) Toriqul Islam of Patkelghata Police station said the man was trying to cross the road when a truck hit him, leaving him seriously injured.
He was rushed to Satkhira Sadar Hospital where he died under treatment.  A case was filed.
MUNSHIGANJ: A woman was crushed under a truck of Crown Cement Ltd near the Sonali Bank building at Puraton Kachari area of the district town on Sunday evening.
The deceased was identified as Selina Begum, 45, wife of Motaleb Mia of Gouripur upazila in Mymensingh
Selina Begum had been living in Munshiganj along with her husband and children for the last eight years. Eyewitnesses said, she was crossing the road at 7:30pm when a truck of the cement company dashed her, leaving her dead on the spot. 
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sadar Police Station Md Yunus Ali said the truck has been seized but its driver
flew away.
