Fresher's reception for the students of 2015-16 session and farewell for the students of 2008-09 session of Management Department of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia were held yesterday severally.
The programme was begun at the premise of the university's Central Gymnasium around 11am and it was continued till 5pm.
Proctor of the university Professor Dr Mahbubar Rahman was present here as the chief guest with Associate Professor of the department ASM Sharfaraj Newaj in the chair.
Professor Dr M Saiful Islam, Dr M Mohabbat Hossain, MM Nasimuzzaman, M Murshid Alam, KM Sharf Uddin, and Jahangir Sadat attended the programme, among others.
Discussion part of the programme was conducted by Sraboni Bagchi and Jaber Hassan while cultural session by Priya and Shimul Mojumdar of the department.
Song, dance, drama, folk song, catwalk and other cultural programmes were held with the participation of the departmental students.
