Access to Information (a2i) Programme and Microsoft Bangladesh Limited for the first time jointly have introduced Leadership Award-2016 aiming to recognize outstanding contribution in women empower campaign in the country. On the occasion of the International Women Day, three persons were given the Leadership Award at a function in the Prime Minister's Office on March 9. State Minister for Post and Telecommunication Tarana Halim attended the function as the chief guest. Deputy Commissioner Md Shafiqul Islam received the Leadership Award in the category "Men for women" for his valuable contribution to the combating early marriage in Meherpur district. Teacher of Potiya Upazila Mohsina Model Government Primary School in Chittagong Umme Tanjila, who was visually impaired, got the award in the "Diversity and Social Inclusion" for her brilliant performance in teaching as well as developing digital content. ?BSS
