Two held with 2,500 kg jatka

MUNSHIGANJ, Mar 12: Members of Coast Guard Bangladesh arrested two persons with 2,500 kg of jatka (hilsa fingerling) from a passenger launch in the Meghna River under Gazaria upazila here early Friday.
The arrested are: Assistant Master of the launch Md. Khabir, 45, of Bakerganj upazila, and Supervisor Md. Mizanur Rahman, 42, of Muladi upazila in Barisal
district.
Coast Guard Officer Ibrahim Khalil said the jatka, loaded from Bhola district, were being taken to Dhaka in 30 drums by a passenger launch.
The arrestees were kept at the Coast Guard Station, and the fries were distributed among different madrasas and schools of Munshiganj.
