Bangladesh Cricket Fans' Unity on Sunday burnt the effigy of International Cricket Council (ICC) and protested against its decision that declared bowling actions of rookie Bangladeshi bowlers Arafat Sunny and Taskin Ahmed illegal.
The fans' platform held a demonstration rally at the Shabag intersection in Dhaka where they displayed placard scripted 'We want Taskin-Sunny back, Shame on You! ICC, Your action is illegal' and chanted slogan 'Why Bumrah-Ashwin not illegal as Taskin-Sunny was declared illegal.'
During the rally, they said that the ICC authorities took the decision against the progressive young cricketers as part of an international conspiracy to spoil their career. They also wanted immediate trouble-free comeback of those cricketers in the team. They also urged Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) to take legal action against ICC.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh Online Activist Forum (BOAF) held a rally at the premises of National Press Club.
