At least three people were killed in road accidents in two districts - Bogra and Dinajpur in two days.
BOGRA: A mother and her daughter were crushed under a bus on the Dhaka-Rangpur highway at Baghopara area under Sadar upazila here on Monday noon.
Police caught the bus while it was fleeing away.
The deceased were identified as Ranu Khatun, 25, wife of Jahangir Hossen of Thengamara Uttarpara in the upazila and her daughter Zakia Sultana, 3.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bogra Sadar Police Station Abul Bashar said Ranu Khatun along with her daughter was crossing the road at noon when a Dhaka-bound bus of Saikat Paribahan from Rangpur dashed them, leaving Zakia dead on the spot and her mother seriously injured.
Meanwhile, Ranu Khatun died on the way to hospital.
Inspector of Bogra Sadar Police Station Aslam Hossen confirmed the incident.
DINAJPUR: One student among two, who were injured following a motorcycle accident at Khalkhalia area of Biral upazila here on Saturday, died at Rangpur Medical College Hospital on Sunday morning.
The deceased was identified as Proshanto Chandra Debsharma, 14, son of Dhaneshwar Chandra Debsharma of Saboil village in the upazila. He was a student at Saboil S R High School in the upazila.
Meanwhile, the remaining injured Gouranga Chandra Debsharma, 13, son of Abinash Chandra Debsharma of Khoiltoir village in the upazila, is undergoing treatment at the same
President of School Management Committee freedom fighter Rahman Ali sought blessings of all for the departed and early recovery of the injured.
